Am I just super slow, or is crocheting a blanket supposed to take this long? I just learned to crochet from a lady in my ward and certainly can't do anything fancy, so I thought a blanket would be simple. I've been working on this for probably like 8 hours. (not in a row of course, just while I'm watching Days in the afternoons....) I should have stuck to making hot pads!

ha! that's funny. i've always wanted to learn how to crochet. good luck w/ the blanket! it may seem "cheaper" but homemade stuff takes forever! i find i only give stuff i make to people i really know will appreciate the effort. otherwise - you could buy the blanket you're making at target for $10.
