Countdown to Girl's Camp....

Could it be that I am actually excited about Girl's Camp? We leave in 6 days. Yesterday, the kids I babysit were picked up by their mom's boyfriend and he said "I hope you enjoy your vacation next week." I had to laugh. I'm not sure I can call this a vacation. We have 25 girls from our ward alone attending camp, not to mention the other 7 or 8 wards. Girl's Camp will be a whole new experience for me as I have never been. It's hard to believe that I've served in Young Womens off and on for the past 7 years in 3 different wards and have never attended Girl's Camp. Every year it has always coincided with the Oakland Temple Pageant and I've always been involved with that. This year, I will miss the Pageant days and my annual extended stay in California right when it sucks the most to be in the desert.

The girls are SO EXCITED for camp. One girl even told me on Sunday that she is already packed. I love my Beehives but please say a prayer for my sanity next week, and please also say a prayer that no-one gets carsick on my leather seats. Apparently there is a history of this.....

On a whole other note, clearly I suck at this Photo-A-Day business. I can't promise I'll get any better either.
