I survived Girl's Camp!

Well, I'm home from 4 days at beautiful Bucks Lake in California. This was my first time going to Girl's Camp and I'm so glad I went. What a wonderful experience. It's nice to see some trees since there aren't any here in Nevada. It was beautiful, the girls were great, the lessons were good, the activities were fun. I came home with my testimony of the Savior strengthened, as well as a stronger testimony of priesthood blessings. Our ward had a lot of trials during camp this year - illness, injury, etc. Overall, the trip was great and I would totally do it all over again!

The videos below are more for my girls to see, but if you're interested in camp skits, have at it. Girls, I just want you to know how proud I am of you for getting through this past week. We had some rough times but you all are FABULOUS! I hope you all had a wonderful time and gained a stronger testimony. I love each and every one of you. Thank you for making my first Girl's Camp experience so good! Remember to be Steadfast and Immovable - Anchored in Christ! The first video is of the Girls camp.com roll call and the second one is the skit.

Oh. My. Heck.

I always wondered what happened with girls' camp. Now I see...the skits there are so much better written the ones at boy scout camp.

Ummm Amye, didn't anyone ever tell you that the point of camping is to get away from technology. What were you doing with a video camera and a motor home?

I'm so sad! I wish I could have been there. That's the first thing I thought of when we found out we were moving...I would have to miss girls' camp. Looks like you had fun!

For the record, Mr Smarty Pants Sean, the motor home belonged to the STAKE leaders. Us ward leaders slept in tents.

And my camera has a video function for taking short videos, if I have a large memory card.
