California grapes

When we left CA, there just wasn't enough room in the moving truck to take our grape plants with us and we weren't really sure that grapes would thrive in the desert anyway. So, begrudgingly, we sent our grape plants to live at Don's parents house. They were only a couple years old and hadn't produced anything yet. So this week when I went to visit Don's parents, I was so surprised to see that they were alive and well, and taking over the side of their shed.

I was even more surprised to see that they are bearing fruit!

I took these pictures for Don because he nurtured these plants in hopes that someday we would see them bear fruit and we were so sad to leave them behind when we left CA.
