Mostly this blog is for keeping our friends and the grandparents updated on what's happening in our household and for posting pictures. But every once and awhile I write just to record certain things that Austin has done that I want to remember. This is one of those posts.

First of all, this afternoon while I was ironing, I found this on the chair near the ironing board. I don't do spiders. Apparently Austin thought it'd be funny to try to trick me by placing a fake spider on the chair. He thought it'd be even funnier to blame it on Dad even though Dad wasn't even home.

Second story -

This evening a man from our ward came to the door - an older man that Austin wouldn't really know or recognize. He told me he was kidnapping Don for the evening and going to Reno. We're standing in the doorway and Austin walked up and out of nowhere swung at this man. Of course I was mortified and immediately sent him to the corner. Don and the man left and I left Austin in the corner for a little bit. Finally I called him over to me and asked "Austin, why did you hit that man?" He immediately burst into tears and said "I don't want that man to kidnap my dad!" He was really upset. It took several minutes to get him calmed down and explain to him that he's a friend and he was just being funny.
