Last week Don and Austin went for a walk around the neighborhood and Austin came home bearing a handful of sticks for me. I couldn't just throw them away (I made the mistake of accidentally throwing away a drawing he made for me the other day and it brought on more tears than I care to talk about.) He was so proud of himself for bringing me sticks and he said he just knew how much I'd love them. So we put them in a vase and call them our "Nevada Wildflowers." He is so proud of this that he has brought me two more handfuls of sticks since then. The vase is now overflowing with sticks and now I need to somehow find a way to get rid of them without hurting his feelings. Last night when I mentioned that we should maybe throw away some of the old sticks to make room for the new ones, he started crying and saying I didn't want the surprises he'd brought me. I'm open to suggestions.

They look good in the vase. I really don't know what to do with the other sticks. If you really had the time you could glue them together and make a little basket but I'm not sure you would want to do that (it's to messy, and takes long, and I have never acctually done it before), or I could give it a try. Any way you go I hope there are no more tears.
