Christmas

Sorry these pictures are so late. Our computer died on Christmas Day and I'm just now able to post. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Last year on Christmas Eve, we started a new tradition where Austin can open one gift and that gift is a new pair of pajamas. This year he got some fancy Lightning McQueen jammies with a light-up bathrobe.
Then we set out a couple of cookies for Santa, and of course, carrots for the reindeer.

On Christmas morning, Austin was very excited that Santa brought him the Thomas at Action Canyon train set.
Time to open presents!

Austin's favorite book that we always check out from the library - Mickey and the Beanstalk.
A book about giraffes for Mom and Austin to read together!
A new obsession the past couple of months has been Tom & Jerry - so he got some DVD's.
Is this an excited face or what?!
Taking a break to try on Dad's new coat
Sneaky Mom gave Austin the handheld VSmile when we went to Oregon to keep him entertained. Except that I told him we borrowed it from my friend Jenny and had to give it back. He was very excited to find this under the tree!

One of Austin's favorite things to do lately is take pictures with Mom's camera. I'm afraid he'll break it, so Grandma and Grandpa Dees got him his own camera and he LOVES it! Now, if we can just teach him to take pictures of worthwhile things, instead of the walls, the floor, the doorknobs, the lightswitches, the stove....
Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins got Austin a Green Machine. I'm not sure who was more excited to ride it - Austin or Don.
And finally, by mid-morning, it started snowing - and for the first time in 28 years, I finally got my white Christmas!
