I'm not sure how this happened, but Fall completely passed me by this year. 3 weeks ago I had to go to Reno for Jury Duty at the Federal Courthouse. Much to my dismay, I was appointed to the jury and the case lasted for 3 weeks. (I'll talk about the case later.) My point is, when I started this thing, it was still pushing 90's in the afternoon. We were stuck inside the courtroom all day long - leaving my house at 7:30am and not getting home until almost 7pm every day. We finished deliberating and gave our verdict yesterday afternoon. This morning, I woke up and it was SNOWING. Somehow Fall must have came and went, and I was totally oblivious.

This picture was taken this morning around 6:30am when the snow first started. Austin was trying to catch it on his tongue. By the time we left for school at 7:20, it was really dumping snow! By Noon it was all melted, but it has continued to sprinkle snow here and there throughout the day, and should continue tomorrow.
Because I've been stuck in the courtroom for the past 3 weeks, I have not been able to take any pictures. (And I haven't even had a chance to open my birthday present that has been sitting on the counter staring at me for the past 2 weeks - I can't wait to use it!)
Here is the one picture I'm really excited to share:

The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile was parked in Reno for 3 days so I had to stop and get a picture.
Other randomness from the past 3 weeks:

Austin learned to spell his name (and Mom).

Austin wanted pictures of him in his "blanket house."

And, I took up the art of making balloon animals. This is "Steve" the Giraffe. He has a pink leash.

Before ending my post - a special thanks from our family to both sets of grandparents. We really enjoyed both visits and look forward to another visit soon. Every night during his prayers Austin says "Please bless Grandmas and Grandpas to come back here safely."
Also, thank you for all the babysitters that helped us out with Austin over the past 3 weeks - Nicole, Sariah, Rebekah, Christy, Grandma & Grandpa Dees and Grandma & Grandpa Hawkins. If it weren't for your help, I'd have spent 3 days in jail for missing jury duty. So thanks for keeping me out of the slammer!
I'm too tired to type up a blog about the case right now (and it's time to get a certain little boy out of the bathtub) but so many of you have inquired, so I promise I'll post about it this weekend!
