Easter cards

Austin made some Easter cards for his Grandparents. I got this cute idea out of Women's Day magazine. He thought it was fun and did most of the work himself. OK, I drew the wings on the chicks and cut the beaks, but he did the rest.


And we're working on writing letters. So this was good practice...


Afterwards, I told him we could go to Big R to look at real baby chicks, which he was so excited about. Big R is sort of a ranch supply store and in the spring they sell chicks. So I took him to see the chicks and they didn't have any left. I really should have called first to make sure they had some before I said this out loud. Might have saved a few tears.
