Nascar Weekend - Sunday

Sunday we headed back to the track for the big Sprint Cup race.

We decided to come a little better prepared though. After Saturday's race, we sat in the parking lot for about 2 hours waiting to get out. So we stopped at Albertson's on the way and picked up some sandwiches and snacks to throw in the ice chest for afterward. It was estimated that it would take at least 3 hours to get out after Sunday's race.

Again, our hometown hero (Kyle is from Vegas) had a bad day. After running up front the whole race, his engine blew up. We could see the flames shooting out of the back of his car on the backstretch. When Austin realized it was Kyle's car on fire, the race was basically over for him. He was ready to leave.

In the end, Carl Edwards won. He's about to do his signature backflip off the car.

Austin was like a rockstar the whole weekend. We took his M&M's racing suit to wear for Thursday's autograph session, in hopes of getting his picture taken with Kyle. He ended up wearing it to the track everyday. All weekend long, people were stopping him and taking his picture.
