Happy New Year

I can't believe it's January already. Where has the time gone??

We rang in the New Year at a big party at church. It turned out to be a lot of fun. Our intention was just to stop by, have some food and visit with a few friends and then leave so Austin could get to bed. We ended up staying the whole time. Austin had a BLAST dancing. I wish I had taken my camera to take a video of him. He made it beyond midnight, insisted he WAS NOT tired, and was not even ready to go home when the party was over. Too bad he didn't sleep in this morning!

We watched parts of the Rose Parade today (in between cat-naps) and I thought about how i was there in 2000 marching with the fabulous Scarlet Brigade band. I pulled up these pictures on the Internet.
